Integration assistance/individualized assistance at the local level
The EPS Empowerment gGmbH offers individualized assistance (integration assistance as specified by the Social Security Code XII) for children with disabilities and adults with mental disabilities, primarily in Berlin’s Tempelhof-Schöneberg district.
Currently, contracting entities include:
- the Tempelhof-Schöneberg Youth Welfare Office (Jugendamt Tempelhof-Schöneberg),
- the German Employer’s Liability Insurance Association for the Food and Catering Industry (Berufsgenossenschaft Nahrungsmittel und Gaststätten), and
- the Berlin Regional Office for Health and Social Affairs (Landesamt für Gesundheit und Soziales Berlin).
Experienced and qualified care workers are employed as skilled aid personnel within the assistance facilities.
Project Europa
Working jointly with NGOs from Croatia, Romania and Poland, the EPS Empowerment gGmbH plans projects aimed at developing or expanding outpatient structures in the psychiatric sector. Working within their own countries, the organizations each aim to build up institutions for assisted living, day centers, and other forms of support and employment for people with mental illnesses.
